Good News to Indian Expats in UAE
Free UAE Visa to Children Accompanied by Parents From July 15th to September 15th
Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship announced that children under the age of 18 years who are accompanying adults will get a free visa for their UAE visit from July 15 to September 15 each year. The new free visa scheme will be enforced from 15th July onwards. The UAE government has also decided to provide free UAE visa every year to children under 18 from July 15 to September 15.
The only condition to get this free UAE visa waiver is that kids should be accompanied by at least one of the parents. The visa waiver will be applicable on a tourist visa irrespective of the validity of the visa, be it a short or long-term visa. With this new visa waiver, the UAE government is planning to encourage the number of tourists visiting the UAE this summer and thereby making the UAE as one of the best tourist destinations.
The tourists can apply for the visa through the smart app (ICA UAE e-channels) in the category of family tourist visa, or through its website www.ica.gov.ae. The authority has issued two types of tourist visa, short term for 30 days at Dh200 single entry, which can be extended twice for 30 days each time, and long term for 90 days at Dh550 that can be extended twice for 30 days each time. The fee to extend costs Dh600 each time.
The new free UAE visa for children under 18 by the UAE government is welcomed by the Indian expats in the UAE. Through this new scheme, the children of Indian expats can visit the UAE and be with their families this summer. The new visa scheme also helps the families to save money on the visa.
